SHOREHAM GOSPELS PROJECT

On Sunday 29 October 4.00 pm at St Mary de Haura, New Shoreham
 there took place an

Ecumenical Service for the Year of the Bible
at which the Shoreham Gospels were dedicated
by the Right Revd Richard Jackson, Bishop of Lewes.
Shoreham Gospels on altar
This is a copy of the four Gospels which was written out by hand
by over 128 young and not-so-young people throughout Shoreham.
Many pages were illuminated and illustrated
and now they have been professionally bound to create a work
which we hope will become part of Shoreham's heritage.
People from all over Shoreham came together celebrate this achievement by our community.
